Short bed length
Howdy all,
I have a 1993 F150 long bed with a crossmount toolbox in the bed. I'd like to put a tonneau cover from the toolbox to the tailgate. I was wondering if someone could measure the length of the bed from the inside of the tailgate (when it is up) to the very front of the whole bed, were the bed ends right behind the cab. If the dimensions work out I hope to use a tonneau cover made for a shortbed buy attaching some aluminum angle iron to the toolbox to serve as a false bed front. Thanks guys.

That is just a rough number, I need something a little more precise. My " 8' " bed is 8' 2 5/8" from the tailgate to the very front of the bed. Fractions of an inch matter for this project. If that length on a shortbox is 6' 5" or a little less, I'm in good shape.
