Now if they could make a manifold like they did for the 5.4 shown, it would make a nice hot rod engine. The ignition set up could be something to play with.
Interesting link.
They didn't say how much power they expected out of such a setup however.
What did amaxe me was wanting to get rid of fuel injection...
I fitted fuel injection to the only vehicle that I had that didn't come with it originally ('63 Mini) so I could get better control over spark timing, fuel delivery etc.
I think they are aiming for street rod crowds since they say "Put a Ford in your Ford!" Since so many folks put GM crap in their old Ford rods.I agree though about getting rid of the inj's.They work real well, but the wiring and such is hard to hide in a 34 Ford coupe.
sounds great. now add the ford racing v10 blower kit for the 3 valve.listed in the heavy duty hauler catalog, part number m6066-f2683 and a o-man hot rod is for sure

Well you are right about the Chevs popularity but that it is because the SBC is the cheapest crate V8 motor you can buy and it is a good runner, easy to work on, but I'm with you, I like a Ford Hot Rod to have the heart of a Ford and if I ever come into some extra cash (maybe after I get my 2 kids through university) and I get an old Ford to play with, it's gonna have a Ford motor.

That 39,999 dollar GT motor got my eye also...WOW they are proud of that puppy.
Lingenfelter(sp?) does not charge that much for a whole car mod. I have a Warrent officer friend who has a 96 Impala SS that has been worked over by Mr. Lingenfelter and I know there are not more than a couple of hundred street cars in the US that could keep up. Very serious machine. And to the untrained (State Patrol) eye it is just your every day grocery getting family coupe.
Hey Fred, no matter what John does to those cars, it is still a butthole engine/car, everybody has one.Do I need to find some more Ford orientated sites for you?

It was sad when John died. He did go doing what he loved, haulin *** in a race car around a racetrack. But he took a year to finally succumb to his injuries. The guy was a master at understanding how to make antique GM technology go fast.
