carb question?

Hey all its me again. Its been a long time since I asked any dumb questions so I fiqured I would try it again...lol.
So here is my dumb question(sorry I am kina new to all this stuff). I am needing a carb pretty bad, mine is shot beyond the use of a rebuild kit. Anyway I found one local today that is very fresh the question is this. A friend of Dad's took a stock 2 barrell Holley off of a '86 f150 with a 351. Will this intake and carb fit my stock 2 barrell Holley 302. I'm pretty sure the intakes will line up and since I'm using his intake I can think I can use his carb. The deal is only $20 and is about all I can find local. Will it work? Please help

ok, no.. a 351 windsor manifold will not work. But the carb should. difference between a 351 and 302 otyher than ci is the deck height...and that makes the width of the manifold wider on a 351 than that of a 302. If you want, and are willing to spend the money, Edelbrock performer 289 is a good manifold and use a holley 600 with vac secondaries. (holley 4160 series). I use it and works wonderful! Good milage too! (475 kilos to 70 liters / 18gal to 300 miles). Good luck and I hope this helps!
