Summit Catco kit

Guys, new here so if this is in the wrong place please forgive....

I have a 1990 f150 4x4 with a 5.0. I bought a Catco converter kit (Y pipe and converter) and cat back exhaust from summit this past week. The Y pipe did not have a pipe to connect to the air pump. I dont fully understand the emmissions systems and was wondering if I can use this y pipe setup. I live in NJ and will need to get this truck through inspection.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If the cat doesnt need air injection, you will still pass inspection. Does the cat have a port for an air pipe? If not, dont worry about it.

Memo,

Thanks for the reply. The cat does have an air port, but on the old Y pipe the air pump was plumbed in to a welded pipe about 6" forward fo the cat. Think I should plumb into the cat?

I may try the inspection as is then plumb in if I fail.

You can plumb it into the air port or weld it in behind the cat, either way is fine.
