Trying to change cab of 1982 f-150 with 5 speed trans. How can I remove the shifter?

 

If it is a Zf 5sp then you have to remove the screws that hold the rubber boot down then lift it up. You should see 2 bolts holding the shifter on, take them out and your all set.
If it is a mazda 5sp then I am not shure. But my guess it is the same.

I could be rong but I dont think 1980 to 1986 F150's had five speed tranys. It may not be original.
