speedo problems
my speedometer is not working at all, I checked the speedo gear and it looks ok. could it still be the gear or something else? sometimes it kinda bounces around when the truck is cold but as it gets warmer it doesn't work at all. 76 F150 with a T-18 tranny.

You should be able to take the cluster out pretty easily (4 screws) the speedo cable just attaches with little plastic clips, squeeze to remove. You shouldn't be able to twist the cable, if you can its broken inside. They are only about $20 from a parts store. Sometimes the cluster itself will be broken, and its not repairable, if this is the case you'll need to hit a junkyard, as OEM ones are about $300. They also pop up on Ebay quite a bit.
