1994 E350 Charging Problem
My problem is when I run the ac my battery eventually dies. The gauge on the dash show voltage keeping up until both front and back ac are on with engine running at idle. Autozone technician tested the battery (only has one) / alternator in the van and said the alternator was bad. Removed alternator and it tested ok. Reinstalled, checked alt wires, belt, replaced battery ground, cleaned up positive side. Due to the Braun cnversion there are many two positive leads going to large "braun" fuses mounted next to and above battery. I disconnected these, but still have the problem. There is a bank of connectors mounted aginst the back of the driver's side headlight next to the battery. It looks like four can plug in but only three are used. They look somewhat corroded. Could this be my problem? I've read about a fusible link between the alt and solenoid. Could this be the problem and where is it located?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
