Rivets or bolts?

I have a 66 F100 and the cab mounts are a bit rusted. As I was taking things off the frame I noticed a number of places where it appears Ford used some type of rivet rather than a bolt - mostly cross-members and things. Should these be sheared off and replaced with bolts, or simply left alone? Since it is all the way apart is there any advantage to replacing them? Any concerns about them being weak?

Thanks for any advice/experience.

cross members on the frame itself were riveted...leave them alone unless the mount pad on frame itself is bad....the cab itself is spotwelded together completely

I agree with CS65; If it ain't broke why try to fix it. But I also read a thread that suggestion removing the rivets from the cross memeber directly under the front portion of the transmission. This will make for easier access to remove larger transmission like C-6. I personally had a heck-of-a time install my C-6 into my truck; I changed from a C-4 to a C-6. There's was not much room above the trans and the transmission hump to allow for removal clearance. But I also know about there's atleast two different transmission hump height's in these body styles. I'm sure others will assist you with better knowledge than I; I'm just a Shade Tree Mechanic with alot of Leaves Missing.
