Drop in engine speed!!!
While driving a constant speed, 40, 50, 70 etc., when I get out of it, the engine speed drops about 500 rpm's. When I put my foot back in it, theres like a dead space there where it 'catches up'. This doesn't seem normal but I've never driven another diesel. I have to ease my foot back in it to avoid a jerk. Anybody experience anything like this? Thanks.

If I get you right, you put your foot back into it and you get a lag then the truck punches itself up. Ive been told this is turbo lag, so I think everything is fine engine wise, your shift kit maybe some of the jerk you are getting. Up shift or down shift

It sounds normal to me. When you lift the torque converter unlocks. This allows the engine speed to drop. When you get back into the pedal there is a delay for the torque converter to lock. This delay is in the computer programming. After about 2-3 seconds the torque converter will lock again and the engine speeds drops.
