Hey guys, was out on a trip this weekend towing my sea-doo, and I noticed my truck would turn off if I stopped abrubtly(eg. stepping hard on the brakes to stop at a red light). This happened a couple of times even when I didnt stop that hard. I thought it was due to me towing in 110 degree weather with the AC going full blast, but it did it again when I got home driving it around town.
I also noted that when I shift to reverse it hesitates a bit to engage and sometimes would even turn off. I am also noting that when shifting into drive, it takes a bit longer to engage.
Can it be tranny? Going to check tranny fluids today. Anything in particular to look for?
I have 124K miles and service it regularly and do quite a bit of towing(single trailer w/Sea-Doo).
