2000 Cavalier AC problems help!

The AC went out on our 2000 Cavalier with the 2.2 liter engine. We don't have no clue wut is wrong we think its the o ring. And I think that the freon is gone. Can u guys tell me some common problems with the AC on this car? Thanks guys fordguy101

I forgot 2 add if it isn't those 2 things wut would be the cause of it going out? And how much would it cost Thanks fordguy101

edit: most likely its just unplugged, theres a small plug on the A/c pump, make sure its plugged in.
