electric brakes

has anyone hooked up a electric brake controller to the wire harness that ford supplies?

Yes, After my last truck was totaled, and I bought my F150. I just took the harness they provided, connected it to the underdash plug, connected it to my brake controller, and put the relay in the fuse panel. That was it. All wires on the 7 way and 4 way plugs work according to my multimeter. I have yet to tow with the new truck though, I still have less than 500 miles on it. I didn't use the brown wire (I think it was brown) for the illumination, since my brake controller is not illuminated, but all the rest I used and it works fine.

thanks.i didn't use the brown either although my controller is digital,but it still lights up.
