I have a set of fog lights that have been laying around in my garage for a couple of years. thinking about putting them on the truck but dont want to drill holes in my bumper. Anyone have any other ideas as were to put them?
There should be Factory holes in the bottom of the bumper - that is where I put mine - look in my gallery - there are pictures from before and after I put them on.
Hope this helps!
Keep it Rubber Side Down!
you can take the carriage bolts out on the top side of the bumper, and install regular bolts going through the light bracket, into the bumper. I did this, works out well.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-Nov-02 AT 09:38 PM (EST)]you can bolt a thin peice of metal between the frame rails in the front, then drill your holes wherever you want them to mount them in that peace. It just looks differant, kinda hidden and cool lookin.
This is why I love this board. Though I'm no genius, I consider myself a pretty smart guy (after all, I do own 3 Fords) but I never thought of replacing the bumper bolts w/regular bolts to mount the lights. I also like cowboy_351's idea. It's cold and I'm much too lazy to check it out tonight but first thing in the morning I'm going to find those lights and see what would be involved w/either idea.

That and a truck w/one foglight dangling because it came loose. I was going to mount them below the bumper until I saw a buddy break one off on a curb in his 83 C***y. Made a bad truck look worse. But I don't bother him about it too much as I am impressed that he has kept a C***y that is that old running.
