Do you need a up and running and ready to swap in transmission or a good rebuildable one? Do you already have the adapter for the transfer case? Meaning the piece that goes in between? I have a spare C-6 for a 4wd w/the adapter, still has the NP-205 xfer case on it. I bought it as a rebuildable core with attached parts.
Seen this for 460 swap help? https://www.projectbronco.com/
"In the "Technical" section. Motor mounts: The most common motor mounts to use for the this swap are the L&L 429/460 Bronco mounts. These mounts retail for around$100.00, require no modifications or relocation of the engine or transmission, and have a lifetime warranty.
https://www.landlproducts.com/list.aspx?m=l&c=3&sc=112 Cost has went up to $145
JBG has some https://shop.broncograveyard.com/Mot.../products/536/
The 1st one looks like L&L (but cheaper priced) and a bit further down the same kits they sale.
You can come over here and get your WTB a lot more views.

A builder is fine. The truck was originally a 400/C6 and someone changed it to a 302/4 speed. He has a "mud" truck that still has a running/driving 351M/C6 but I was going to add a 460/C6 to his restoration project while he is out on deployment. I am not sure if the adapter on the 4 speed is the same or not.
I have swapped 460s into several of these trucks in the past but it has been 10 years and my memory is not as good as it once was.
I am also going to build a 1978 crew cab long bed 2x4 into a 4x4 one of these days when I have time( how ironic).
I used the L and L mounts on a couple trucks with no problems. I also used what I believe was out of an early lincoln maybe a 462? Again that was many years ago.
He is on base after just finishing AIT and will be getting deployed soon, so I was going to surprise him when he gets back with a rebuilt motor/transmission combination.
I paid up for this truck as it is a rust free Arizona survivor. Wish I could say the same for the crew cab.
I live just north of KC. Have a place at Warsaw and work in Springfield fairly often. I will be down that way for at least a week in a few weeks.
Im not sure where you are, I see SW Missouri.

I have three C-6's in my parts collection, I bought them to have a builder, core, parts and one is in a 2wd parts tuck. I am sure we can get you what you are looking for. If you come down Hwy 13 from Warsaw to Spg, I am 6 miles off Hwy 13 and just north/west of Bolivar Mo.
I am still on the road working/traveling all of next week and the following weekend, so once I am home we can work it out.

Since I have the info might as well post it here.
NP435 = aluminum top cover w/8 bolts
T-18 = cast iron top cover w/6 bolts
Warranty Plate TRANS code: A = NP435 (N-1965 only) / F = Warner T-18 / P = F350 Warner T-19.
Warner shift lever retainer cap (8MTH-7220) threads on/off.
NP435 shift lever retainer cap (B8T-7220-D) has two notches, is retained to shift tower by two pins.
To remove this cap, it must be presseddown (or use the piece of wood trick) and helddownwhile turning it counterclockwise to remove it. (It's spring loaded and twists into place), it can be a 2 person job. Put the trans into 2nd, 4th, or reverse, then one person holds the cap and applies pressure, twisting in a counter clockwise direction. The other person taps it from the top with a hammer to get the cap to go in below the two clips that hold it in. People unaware use pliers or channel locks to remove it, which tears out the pins.
Originally NP435: Reverse-down towards the seat while Warner T-18: Reverse-up towards the dash.
The reverse shift pattern was changed circa 1973, but I can't recall for which of these 4 speeds. (I believe it the NP435)
Note:There's another 4 speed: RUG SR-OD Single Rail 4 Speed Overdrive introduced in 1978 F100/150 300/302, TRANS code B
When they are real hard to remove try this trick.

Good info I never thought about using the wood block to pull the shifter on a np435. I believe it was t-18 the later ones had reverse over and down. I've got a t-19 in my truck now and the jumping out of 4th problem is getting worse by the day. I've already been into once and just dont feel like doing it again.....especially since they are so fun and light to pull 😂
