Overheated
i have a friend with a 87 F-150 and it has a EFI 5.0 in it . the other day he blew a radiator hase in it. when he put it back on he must not of filled it all the way back up. he was driving home and he said it got hot and just shut off. he let it cool down and got home. i was wondering what is the chance of his motor having damage. we changed the thermostat today and filled it up.

he probobly had a air bubble in the line. if its not steamin out the exhaust or excessing water commin out of it, its probably fine. if you start it with that cap off, are there bubble commin up from the coolant? if not your fine, or at least should be. im not sure what the shuttin off part of it was, but if its runnin fine now, id call it good.
