'98 EB Explorer problems
Hey everybody I just found the FTE site and am really grateful. I have a 1998 EB Explorer and have a few problems. First my radio display goes blank and sometimes is blank for a while, I think I found the solution reading through some previous threads, but now the buttons on the radio sometimes do not work, I have to use the radio controls on the steering wheel to operate the radio. Second, the subwoofer in the does not work anymore, I do not think it is blown because I really don’t listen to music that loud and the day I first noticed it I was listening to talk radio, any solutions? Third my rear wiper will only wipe about half of the window, it works just fine except that it doesn’t cover the whole area in it’s range of motion. Same thing happened to mine. I found it easier to replace with an aftermarket and matching speakers. A lot more clarity and volume. There is a fix available but I like the new one better. (I do not have the controls on the wheel but in the rear seat console.)
