Prodigy brake controller
I have a 99 e150 with factory tow.
When I plug my prodigy controller (with OEM harness) my right turn signal turns on, and no power to unit.
Also when I opened the 7 pin cover at the back, water poured out.
Could there be a short in the trailer plug ?
Checked the fuses, everything seemed ok.
Any ideas

Water can short out the plug. Make sure its dried out. Also did you check fuses and relays under the hood. If you have owners manual, it'll tell you what fuses for towing.
Make sure you make tests, without the trailer connected. You might get a test light to help you out.

I figured out the problem, I was using th e wrong plug.
The plug I was using was a grey six pin plug just like in my Expy.
The plug I needed is brown and was tucked behing other wires.
Lucky for me I didn't burn out my controller!
