Thumbs up Audiophile Sound System

We just purchased a '05 Explorer with this "satellite ready" radio. My dealer tells me I have to drive 250 miles to have a $362 XM unit installed for $100. What is the real story? Is there something that I can purchase and install myself?

I've never looked for XM stuff, because I like MP3 and CDs. But it seems weird to me for you to have to drive that far just to get a deal like that. Personally I think the gas price would probably offset it a little bit. I'd do some shopping around in your area.
