Talking bumper to monster accident

so I was driving down the road the other day when a guy felt it nessecary to stop in the middle of the road. unfortunately I also found it nessecary to look at the weirdest looking moterhome i had ever seen at the same moment. needless to say by the time i saw the car in the road it was too late and I had only been able to slow down to abot 20 mph before i plowed into him. i ended up screwing up his bumper and trunk and destroyed his back lights. after "oh sh@#!" and "$$$$$" went through my head i took a look at my truck. nothing!! I didn't even get his paint on my bumper! people keep telling me that these old trucks can take a beating, and now I have seen for myself that its true. after this I have to take my hat off to the people who designed these beasts. they really knew what they where doing.

Glad no one was hurt. I plowed into a Grand Am (my L/f to his R/R), in a 74 F100 at about 35-40mph. Pushed his taillight to the back seat. When the wrecker arrived, he lent me a pry to pull my bumper away from the L/F tire. Then I just drove it home. Love those old Fords!

I hit a mercury Cougar with my front right at 35mph (she pulled out in front of me) and it broke my lights, dinged my fender and pushed my bumper in a bit....and totalled her car hhehehehehehehe

It's really a mirical my truck is still on the road from all the miles and mishaps.

Hit three deer with my truck, didn't cause any damage at all. Not even to the grille. Knock on wood.

Hit a Bear, and that cost me a new front bumper...

A women shopping cart attendant backing all her shopping carts into my tailight and ripping it off... cost me a taillight.

A great dane caved my driver door in while it tried to attack me. A toilet plunger saved that...

I parked the 1972 F-250, with big towing step bumper behind my 1981 F-150. Lets say the F-150 lost when I backed into it forgetting it was there... Cost me some bondo and paint...

I mistakenly left the 1981 out of gear and let it roll down the hill into a tree with the tailgate down. Cost me a whole new tailgate.

Backed into a street lamp, still have a dinged rear bumper.

Woman ran a stopsign and crunched the right front fender and door. Cost me a radiator radiator support, fender, and someday a door when the bondo falls out. It was a good excuse to get the bigger radiator, and change the truck to super cooling.

A pheasant hit the hood and gorotted itself with my CB antenna. A few whapps with a hamer straightened most of it out...

A hickory nut from 60 ft. (yes that tree is big) landed on my hood. BAM...

Rocks have cracked my windshield and hoodornament, more times than I can count.

My father closing the gate on it when I'm driving through it.

People backing into it, or sideswiping it, or banging their doors into it in parking lots... Gots lots of carracter marks from that....

And yes it still runs great... Love the old girl. Even though she's three shades of dark caramel paint, and really needs a painting, all the touch ups to keep her from rusting really looks crappy but... she still gets people to turning their heads from afar.

LOL! Some days....remember an incident way back when....

Living in a small tourist trap town in Alberta, was reading my mail with the truck in neutral, idling, with the park brake on. (1969 F100 at the time)

Felt the truck move ahead a few feet(winter time) checked the mirrors, couldn't see anything, looked backwards, couldn't see anything, meanwhile this poor guy comes up to the window to appologize.

I got out to look. Felt sorry for him. He needed a new front end(fenders hood, rad, rad support, and fan, at the very least) for his Cavelier. I rubbed some paint off the dropped hitch when I pulled away from the car for the tow truck. No damage what-so-ever.
