frame measurements
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 56 f-100 frame with a camero subframe, what i need to know is. the measurement, from the rear mounting holes for the cab, to the center line of the rear end, so I can make sure that the rear end is in the right place, I am putting air ride and I have a candolever, typ of 4 link, the rear end now dose not line up under the bump stop, Thanks Guys
There are a number of measurements here for various year trucks. If all you need is to locate the rear axle, it should be just about exactly 1" forward of the rear bump stop. This allows for the axle to move backward as the springs straighten out under load and the rear shackle rotates. The one inch was from an F-100 frame, but my F-250 (heavier rear springs and axle) appears to have the same dimension.
