84 F-250 axle code

Does anyone know what a C3 axle code means on an 84 F-250 ?Thanks

should be a posi 3.54 geared Dana 61.

Thanks for the info Bremen 242,I could not see any markings on the rear axle to ID it.

If it has 10 bolts and a fill plug is it definatly a dana. Most of the 3.54 geared axles seemed to be Dana 61s.. Easy way to check is- measure the axle tubes- a 61 or 70 will have 3.5" tubes and the 60s have 3.25" tubes. If it has 3.5" tubes, pull the axle- if it is a 30 spline, its a 61, 35 spline is a 70.
