Amp mounting question...

I am mounting a VERY small amplified sub under the drivers seat of my wife's van for her. It was removed from my 91 Mazda 626, and was an OEM unit. The entire thing is roughly the size of a phone book.

My question is, as I am mounting it under the seat, what would be the best way to mount it to the van? I was originally going to drill through the floorboard, and but&bolt it in, applying silicone to the location to prevent leaks...but now, I'm thinking maybe making a small board to mount to the seat mount, and mounting the sub to that...

Any ideas, or other options anyone can think of. I already have an entire, OEM style harness made up, and routed to the location. Now, I just need to mount the damn thing in there...

It would probably be better not to drill thru the floor if you can avoid it. I would pull out the seat and make a mount like you mentioned.

I mounted the CD exchanger under the passenger seat with velco on the unit and stuck it to the carpet. No holes and no bracket to make.
