While I was at the dealership I asked one of the ticket writers if this was unusual. I've never had to replace any front-end components on any previous vehicle unless it had over 100k. She said, "Oh, no. we have a new Explorer in with 12k and it has to have all the tie rods AND ball joints replaced."

I guess I'm lucky I bought this thing and didn't have to actually use it like a truck.
