RomerB2, As you may remember, I have a set of a/d/s components from a few years back when their stuff was USA made and was arguably some of the finest sounding AND most well built gear on the market. I've done some business with the robotunderground and they will treat you right. They will work with you to put together any combo you desire. The a/d/s stuff he has IS US made before adst went bankrupt. Current a/d/s gear is made overseas. The problem I have with this set-up is the tweeter is not a/d/s, and the crossover is OK, but it's not their best. The crossover was always one of the strongest parts of the a/d/s components. That Gonzo tweeter may be great, but that I don't know. But, I do know the 236 crossover isn't as good as some others. I'd spend the extra $50 and get the Orion HCCA set-up he has listed. It has a better crossover and the mids are a/d/s mids with Orion badging. Plus, they're 2 ohm, which is always good. And the 6 1/2" will give you more "pop" than the 5 1/4". And they look cool as heck. he's been selling those by the dozens for $250. He just put them on sale. I've been considering buying some of the bare amp boards from him and building my own amp. He says he will guide me through the whole process. They have all the necessary parts and knowhow. They even have PPI raw amplifier sink material in 50 foot sections to custom cut to order.

It looked like a pretty good deal. I was reading up on it and most brands have gone overseas, mostly to China. I was looking at the set-up with the US Orion mids, and some other things in it. I would've listed the Orion HCCA he has listed, but it was 6.5" and I have 5.25" opening, but really that doesn't matter because I would be putting it in a custom fabbed kick-panel that I haven't made yet so I could make it bigger. I was basically just wanting some ideas, and if you guys (esp LP) think it would sound good. I've never heard of Gonzo tweeters, and that was really the only problem I had with that little set-up.
