This is the second post on this problem, I got a couple of replys to the first but no reply from anyone that has the problem and has gone to the dealer. According to my dealer this is a commom problem and they said ford is aware of it and said I will just have to live with it. After the truck sits and I start to drive it either loaded or unloaded, forward or back It stars to jerk as if it is binding up.
On our last trip it semmed to get worse, I am taking it back to the dealer for some recall work and hopefuloly fix this problem. If anyone else is having this problem please contact me or let me know if you got it fixed. The dealer siad it was the clutches and put some anti friction lube in the rar end but it didn't fix it.
TIA
Its more like rapid jerks like something is binding up. I get it in all directions it dosen't seem to matter what I do but it got bad enough when I used the truck last that I drove it around for awhile before I hooked up my 5th wheel to make sure it was OK. It is fine until you stop again and then it does it again.
Well I would find another dealer !
because they need to chk the the clutch packs in the rear diff for the proper break away Torque.its a test with a special tool.your rear diff may have a improper shim size behind the clutch pack causing it to bind.
What they are doing is adding friction modifier to the rear gear lube hoping that the clutch packs will wear so they don't have to take it apart.
This can cause long term wear problems on the side carrier bearings and spyder gear.

Ford finally got back to me and thats what they told the dealer(that this was a common problem) I told them if they didn't want a lawsuit and/or the truck back they would fix it, I didn't spend $50,000 plus for a truck that ran like this. They finally agreed and are sending an engineer out to look at it hopefully before our next trip in 2 weeks.
Thanks for the help and will post if they find anything.
Your problem sounds abnormal and needs to be fixed. A lot of Ford LS rearends will grab a little when you take off turning. The ones I had like that seemed to do it more on a left turn. This gives a little shake but nothing like you describe. It might be time to try another dealer.
