So, I finally replaced my rusted/broken left rear leaf spring perch. It took me about 2.5 hrs total time. I ground the heads off the rivets, and drove them out. I replaced the shackle while I was there. I used Grade 8 bolts from the dealer, to mount the new one to the frame... Overall, it was a peice of cake... Just an FYI
you have been a busy boy this weekend. i did one shackle last year and one this year. my perches look ok. isn't it amazing all the crap that falls down on you when you are doing repair work under these trucks. glad it was a piece of cake for you.
