should i ditchem?

I have a 78 150 its got a 428 out of a 68 tbird...my question is its got points in it and im wanting to change it to the electronic type would this be the way to go? This moter runs great as is but seems the points are gonna be a bit of a hassle. Ive changed them twice in the two years ive had her not a big deal just seems kinda pointless if thers a better swap i could do with a little wrenchtime. still have the brain box on the fire wall and harness so how hard would this be or is it possible at all? thiking of selling the engine and just gettin a newer smaller engine like a 351 400 but ide hate to cause man she dose run soooo good any and all advise is welcome. You should be able to get the Duraspark Distributor from a 76-360 engine.

Make sure the coil is from a 78 though.

Ford has different applications when it comes to ignition modules.
Yours should have blue plastic where the wires go into it.
