Timing Troubles
ive been gone about a week and i dunno if its something to do with that but i was just out cruisin stopped to turn and it died about 10 feet further from the curb i managed to eventually start it again and limp home (obsolutly no acceleration power whatsoever) it wouldnt rev quickly at all in neutral. so we got the timing gun out and checked some things and the timing ended up bein an easy 10 degrees off but the distributor was still firmly in place. we fixed it and made sure the distributor was tight. i was thinking its prolly the timing chain skipped a tooth or something my father who was with me when we fixed it didnt think that it would have been able to get back into time if the chain skipped. any thoughts on the subject wether it is the chain or something else? thanks
Sometimes the stars (and the valvetrain) do align. I think it's the exception, not the rule.
