When I turn on my turn signal to turn left, the flasher in the truck comes on and flashes at a steady pattern, but outside sometimes the light comes on but flashes really slow, like one or two flashes every 10 seconds. but the rear signals work on both sides. Anyone have any soultions?
Next time rev the engine up when you are checking the outside lights to see if they speed up .
If they do, you have a charging (Voltage regulator) problem.
Trying cleaning and making sure all ground connections are good
If the lights don't speed up then you have a " Resistance problem".
There isn't enough resistance to heat the bi-metal stripe in the flasher to trip sooner.
I had a problem very similar to this , my left blinker worked fine but my right blinker was slow in the rear and did not work at all in the right front. I pulled my steering wheel off and cleaned up my turn signal cam and it all works fine now.
ok here's mine then smarties,
The left works fine with the lights off, but when they are on it does not work. The light is mostly on in the dash, without flashing for long periods of time, but sometimes it will literally feel like working and start flashing. I used to think that it was miswired but now I think faulty flasher, any ideas?
