question i own for two months an E350 with an 7.3 international engine is this the same as the powerstroke or not (hope that i don't insult anyone )
i really like the engine but don't know anything about it and would like to hear things about it. Here in the Netherlands there are not so many big american diesel engines. looking forward on any reply.
yes and i'am new on the forum.
hey dutchrobert, welcome to the forum, feel free to ask allt he questions you want, someone will have an answer for ya. no-one here will be insulted.
yes, the International 7.3 Turbo diesel is the same as the Powerstroke. its International model # T444E. GREAT motor. my '95 has nearly 210K miles on it and still goes strong. anyhting else? feel free to ask. have a great day! nice to have someone from the netherlands! we got a guy from the other side of the world on here too. Big350 is from Australia. again, welcome!
The all of the Ford V-8 diesels in the 250 & 350 pcikups have been international/navistar engines. If the engine is the direct injection Hydraulic/Electric Unit Iinjector fuel system used after mid model year in 1994 then yes, it is what we call the powerstroke. The indirect injected Turbo Diesels from early 1994 and naturally aspirated 7.3L International is the same block as the 6.9L, but a different block then the powerstroke uses.
