SPOUT kills the engine

I can start and run my truck with the SPOUT out, but the moment I put it in, the engine dies. When I start it with the SPOUT in, it tries to start but won't catch. I just used the FMS MAF conversion on my 351w. Any Ideas?

I can't recall the correct timing steps but I think you need to remove with the engine off. Start the truck and set base timing. Then shut the engine off and plug the spout connector back in and restart the truck. I don't think you plug it in while it's running?

Unplug the spout, fire it up, make sure the base timing is right, should be like 10 degrees. Then plug it back in and fire her up. If it still won't you probly hooked somthing up wrong(or forgot to hook somthing up) or have more serious problems.
