hey, im wondering if anybody has seen this dump box system before. its a giant airbag that lifts the front end of the trucks box off of the frame the box is hinged in the rear so it dumps like a dump truck. anyone ever installed one or know how good they are. im going to be freshing up my 82 f100 this winter ive got a set of 3/4 ton leaf springs for it and i figured the dump box would make it just that much better of a hauler.

Yeah I know exactly what you're talking about! I saw that dump truck kit installed on "Trucks!" on Spike TV, that's a really neat idea. Host Stacey David installed it on a mid 90s Ford F150 2wd shortbox. It looks pretty easy to install, if you have a couple buddies to help along with a reasonable amount of mechanical ability. When it was done he demonstrated how it worked. He had a good sized load of cedar mulch in the box, and it dumped it with no problem. Another thing I really liked about it is, it didn't change the appearance of the truck; it still looked like any other F150 shortbox. I think it was pretty cool, I wouldn't mind having one on my 84 F150 regular cab/long bed 4wd. I too am planning on installing 3/4 ton rear leafs on this truck some time soon if funds permit.
