i just towed home a 1960 f350 dullie cutom cab and it super nice good kept, and a paint job and a new cam shaft she would look like she came out of the factory its been a farm truck all its life and som parts are kinda funny. Like no rear view mirror or cut threads in the wholes a pto where the hand break should be and the hand break on the right hand side of the 4 speed shifter and it all looks like it should be there and opininon or that these placment of these parts arent right tell me
60'BigBlue, I found a 71 F350 except it had abit harder life but fairly rust free. The worst was the red hood which I found a decent replacement for. The 360 was fairly well shot and I replaced that with a good 390. Now I have a his and her`s, her`s is a 69 F100 also red. The hand brake maybe orginal as 1 tons had a different set up for the park brake. I can`t see some one changing it as it would be too much work. My M 600 had the pb the same as you describe yours. Enjoy it and many happy miles with the old truck.

If I understand what you are asking then, yes, that is the way it should be. You don't get an inside rear view mirror in a big truck - headache rack or bed blocks the view out the back glass anyway. And yes, pto cable fits well where the parking brake is on smaller trucks. The parking brake is different on the big boys - is a drum on the back of the tranny actuated by a lever through the floor near the shifter.
