It's been a while since I have posted here. It's also been a while since I have been able to work on my truck. A while back, quite a while, I purchased a 40/20/40 out of a wrecked 94. As most people here probably know this isn't a bench and therefore doesn't mount directly into the existing bench slides. So I spent a couple months looking for new slides and designing a frame that would mount to the old slides. What I have is a ladder frame that slides full forward and aft on the original bench slides. On top of the ladder frame I mounted slides that I found at the junk yard. This took a while because they had to be a certain size to get the seat height the way I wanted it. The slides on top of the ladder frame are there to enable each seat to adjust independently. Yes, I am ****. So here is my problem. The slides from the junk yard were pretty tight and it took a little bit of force to get them to slide. Now that they are mounted on the frame they won't budge. I measured the distance between the slides and it turns out they are about 1/16 of an inch closer in the rear as apposed to the front. I plan on fixing this too make them as plum as possible. Can anyone recomend any lubricant or methods to make these things move more freely once they are plum?
Sorry about the long post, but I figured it would be best to get all the info across.
