re: e4od help

Thanks Jim

I've got a 1995 f150 4x4 351w. After rereading owners manual I think it shifts alright into od after all. I drove it extensively without radio playing and everything seems and sounds good there. The fluid is good too, but I'm getting ready to change it (60k miles) which is why I'm inquiring about it. The other problem still has me puzzled. Whether od is on or off it still feels like slack in driveshaft or rearend, from red light to red light etc, or as if it doesn't fully shift into 1st till throttle is pressed, but I've shifted manual with same results. I can not find any slack in drive line to cause this. Also the od light does not blink at all. Do you know what the tps voltage is at idle. Thanks again.

I believe the voltage with the ignition on should be .17-.40 volts(this is checking the TP and SIG RTN terminals. with the ignition off check the voltage between the SIG RTN AND VREF, the voltage should be between 4.0-6.0 volts. If not, replace the sensor.
hope this helps...Toby

P.S. the schematics of the connectors and terminal locations within the connector can be found in "Chiltons Book"(found at your local parts house
