I've seen kits out there for pick up tailgate hydraulic arms. They gimmic it as a type of spoiler, "hit a button in the cab and your heavy hauler becomes a fast fury!!!"-BS I've also thought about it since my assist rod doesn't work anymore. Look for 'em under a truck accesories site, like I've described. I don't know if those small hydaulics could lift a Bronco gate without the assist rod though.
