was doin some maintenance (i.e.- chippin rock hard grease/mud off of zerks that havent had fresh grease in them since the early 70's) under the truck and notice one side sits a little lower than the other in the front. looking at the front passenger side wheel compared to the fender and then looking at the other side it looks like the drivers side is about 1-2 inches lower. they both look really low because the top 1-3 inches of the front tires are hidden behind the fenders.
So, does anyone know the length of the springs (what theyre supposed to be)? how hard are they to replace?
I don't know what lenth they sshould be, I not done a 2wd, should be ex enough. You still should be able to get them from your local parts house. Down on the drivers side, says that it has been driven with only the driver for the most part of it's life.
I would check your cab mounts. To make sure one is not shot.
And while you are at it, zert fittings that are caked over are a bad sign. I had that prob when I bought my old truck. My kingpins had not been lubed as often as they should have. and had to be replaced. (HELL).
When I first read your post I half expected to see a pic of my ex- girlfriend, she had a saggy front end as well.
