Interco Tire Help Needed

I posted i nthe super duty forum, but hardly any responses.

It is tire time again....I have been running Nitto terra grapplers, and want something different.

Need a tire that works well on the road, not too noisy, works in mud, but more importantly, works in snow, and rain.

Would like to be like eveyone else and FINALLY get 50k out of one set of tires, my current tires are about worn out, and I have 60k on the truck, this is my THIRD set of tires...

anyway, the tires im lookin at:

Radial TSL in a 36" (16 rims)
Radial SSR in a 36
TrXus Mud in a 37 (cuz they dont make it in a 36)

or?????

Anyone else have a suggestion?
I would like a 36, cuz i think the 35's look too small, and I don't expect any rubbing bad enough to damage anything.

thanks!

Hey:

If you are looking for a quiet tire that works in snow, rain and also mud, and lasts a long time, I think your best bet is a BFG AT KO.

I've got a set on my Jeep with tons of street miles and off-roading and they still look brand new. I could often get away with driving it in the snow last year without going into 4 wheel drive. They aren't as good in the mud as a straight mud tire (supposedly), but my Jeep was keeping up with mud-tired stuff on a rainy Jeep Jamboree last year.

The only disadvantage (Other than price) is that everybody runs them. Of course, there's a reason for that. LOL!

A buddy of mine is running the Pro Comp AT tires, and seems to be having even better luck with those than I am with the AT KOs.

I have the TSL radial in a 38" and I like them alot. We don't have snow around here but it seems to work really good in the mud and the little bit of rain we had gave me no problems. I don't drive my truck that much but I know I have about 5,000 miles on them with very little signs of wear. Not bad for this large of a tire and I smoke my tires alot trying to solve my carb problem. Just my $.02

thanks guys.

the terra grappler is great all around, far better than my experience with a bfg, but the wear is poor in my application. i would say if you get 25k out of em, your doing very well.
snow traction could be better, but it is an all terrain, so powder is gonna pack the tread no matter what.
