even though i bleed ford blue, yesterday i saw a chevy avalanch. if you guys havn't seen one yet, man, their pretty cool looking. i guess they made them to compete with the explorer sport trac or a f150 super crew. i just saw it going down the road.
I don't think it's too ugly. The price is what gets to me. I won't pay 38 grand for one. I can get my Crewcab F-250 4x4 with the PSD and all equipment including lariat for alot less. Think how much more truck I get....
I wouldn't be surprised if Ford doesn't do something similar with the Expedition soon. That is if, Gm actually sells a good amount. The new 1500HD "SuperCrew" fighter isn't doing so good.
I cant picture what the avalanch looks like right now, but I sat next to a new trailblazer at a stoplight today and let me tell ya', that thing looks like a big pile of poop! I think it ranks up there in the ugly vehicle poll along with the rest of the gm trucks. Have you seen the new stepside ones? The back of the bed looks like a hornets Behind.

I think Gm has some explaining to do. The horsepower for the new 4.2L I6 is 270 at 6000rpm. But the redline is 5200rpm. So you will never actually get anywhere near 270hp. I haven't ever driven one, but I know several who have, and all say that the 4.6L in the new Explorer will stomp it into the ground and get a bit better mileage.
sorry but i don't want to be driving my truck around at 6000RPM to get power. sounds like one of GM's good ideas again. If you drive around with those rpm's you can have a knockin 4.2 but, this time they will blame you
LOL if that aint funny.......what got me though is in the new 4-wheeler magazine the 5.4 liter v8 in the fords only got like 180 HP on the dyno and 230 p/ft tourque.......i coulda sworn the adds boasted much more than that (as they should) Is this just because they aren't putting the HP that gets to the road.....just what the engine produces on an engine dyno (I guess you call it) or is it that this engine was just f'ed up in this excursion they tested........they were installing a supercharger that gave it 90 percent more horsepower when it was all said and done though........
If this is true though chevy boasts 270 HP+ from both of their new v8's..........ford may need to do some catching up in they arent just pulling another stunt like it appears they did on their new inline six.....Ford should bring a revised 300 back and kick their ##### with it lol.......long live the I-six
I had to go to chevys website to see what an avalanch looks like. My god what are they thinking!!!??? What did they do run a silvarado into an aztec? If this is what the future of trucks is going to look like I know who to blame it on. Then I am going to have to go into hiding into the woods and isolate myself from the rest of the world. The guys at general morons need to stop watching total recall or something.
