4 speed trans.
I have a 1982 f350 2wd and want to know if a early 1970s 4 spd trans.( with reverse beside 1st gear ) will work in place of a t18 trans.? Also what is the 70s trans.? Is it also a t18?

4 speed trans.
The 70's trans is most likley a T-18, they changed the position of the reverse shift rail in the mid 70's, and moved it from beside first to beside 4th.
