Cooking with........................

What kind of pots and pans do you use when cooking?

Such as the brand name and/or the type you use.

I love my Claphalon pans.. I have a mix of the old Anodized, and the Commercial Nonstick pans. Also a few stainless All-Clad pans. I think its a real good investment to have a good set of pans. I refuse to pay full price for them though, there are often deals on Amazon or I have even found some in Marshalls/TJ Maxx.

They're thicker and heat more evenly than the thinner pots.. Even *I* cant mess stuff up with them.

I like the old Corning Visions Cookware. It's been discontinued so it's hard to find, but I still find pieces at the secondhand stores. -TD

I purchased a set of Magnalite Professional cookware, inwhich this particular kind of cookware has been discontinued. It's great.

The company has changed ownership, but I think they manufacture their products overseas now.

Also have a set of Calaphon cookware.

Last but least, a pretty old set of the copper clad bottom "Revere Ware".

I bought a Members Mark set from Sam's Club, anodized aluminum, eclipse non-stick coating, and their awesome. I've been using them for about a year now, and they still look brand new, I use them almost daily. I think the set cost about $150 but they perform like a $400 set.

Calphalon here. We do the cooking for all the major holidays. Will be adding more pieces to the set as we move into a new lakehome (which means more company, like every weekend).

Can't beat a solid set of cookery.

All my fry pans are cast iron, they are simply the best. I got tired of eating the flakes of teflon with my eggs. The only drawback is hand washing them.

I just use what's available, however... I normally make homemade pizza for the family on Saturdays and my wife bought this Pampered Chef pizza stone that works really well.
