Question Need Help

working on my 85 f-f250 the ignition is giving me a fit as soon as i plug the spout wire in the truck shuts off. I replaced the icm and the pcm computor i checked for the proper ac volts and i didn't have any voltage on the spout with it pluged in or out. as soon as it is unplugged the truck fires right up. I checked the system for grounds and found nothing shorted out. I am out of ideas HELP

Check to make sure ignition module is getting power. I think its black/orange wire.
Also check crank sensor if it has one.

disregard wire color!!!!!!!!!1

Cylinder Head, you might check to see if its getting the signal out of module. Top wire.
Since you've replaced ICM and PCM, make sure ICM is plugging to the Distributor correctly. You may also open the cap and look at connections from CPS (crank position sensor). This depends if its in the dist. or at the crankshaft.

If its not getting correct output it will shut the coil down. Does this sound like what your experiencing?

Also, you wouldn't be the first one to get a new "bad" module.
