I was on my way to Nashville this past weekend. As soon as I slowed to 55 mph the truck started vibrating very badly. At first I thought it was the road, then as soon as I got below 55 mph or above 65 mph the vibration quit. I've been driving the truck around town here sparingly and it's shifting fine..only when you get between the two above mentioned speeds does it act like this.
I took the truck over to my local Ford delaership last month for a 200,000 mile check-up and he talked me in to flushing transmission, and changing filter. Against my better judgement I told him "yes". I had always heard to never flush a older transmission unless it was giving you troubles. Mine wasn't. Now it is.....I'm a little irritated!!
