PS2 online.....
i dont know bout yall but being able to play online with my ps2 is great, although games like socom 2 which i frequently play has many glitches and lag problems.... this is what zipper said recently
"Sony Computer Entertainment of America released the news that SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs II will be going offline as of yesterday. The reason for this abrupt removal from online play is that Zipper Interactive has went bankrupt due to the high activity online over nearly two years of free online play.
When we contacted SCEA about this sudden decision to end all online play, we got this response: "Regarding your request about SOCOM II , I wanted to let you know that here at Sony Computer Entertainment America, we are continuing our commitment to providing an exceptional online gaming experience. The SOCOM II community is growing farther from that with a lot of negative responses from players including but not limited to, racial slurs, antisemitism and sexist remarks".
Zipper Interactive has respoded as such, "We here at Zipper Interactive have every intention to remove SOCOM II from online play. We just can not support this franchise anymore with almost 30,000 people on simutaneously and over 50,000 different users everyday." - Ed Lewis "
so heres the questioin would yall be wiling to pay 50 dollars a year to play online like those of you that have xbox's to keep this sorta of thing from happening and to play on better,faster and up to date servers
