i own a 1989 ford E350 with an ambulance package. I can not find the low side port for the a/c. I can find the high side at the rt top of radiator. the system is dual for crew and for the box. anybody know where the low side port is (or do you service from the low pressure swithc?
Always service from the low pressure side. I do recommend that you find a good shop to service this though. I did this type of work 20 years ago, and it really is better to let the pro's do it, unless you do that type of work.

If you follow the low (suction side)pressure line from the reciever/dryer to about middle way of the engine compartment that is where you should find it. You will probably have to feel for it. It is extremly difficult to see.
Be careful to not to cross thread on service port due to lack of clearance . If you E-series is equipped with a Leece-Neville alternater tie your service line up to keep it out of the alternater fan.
