I would like to install and hang some mud flaps on my new F-350 dulley.......but.I ordered some mud flaps, and when I looked at my new truck and the mounting hardware they sent me,it aint gunna work as their directions say how to mount them. These are the problems I am faced with. The dulley wheel skirts are fiberglass and dont provide a good mounting surface or structure for mounting the flaps to.No problem making my own mounting bracket, but I see no place to come off the frame to hang the bracket. The leave springs would be in the way of the bracket, and cause a interferance when the springs compress.I might be able to mount the bracket from the bed floor, that seems pretty beefy to hold the bracket.Anyway I would appreciate your feedback and sugjestions with this project. If you want please e-mail me with pics or any help you can give me.
Thanks Guys, this is a good place to be.

You will need an ell-bracket where the outer portion attaches to the fender and the inner portion with the ell attaches to the side of the frame rail. This will keep it off the leaf springs.
Thats what I was thinking of doing. Is this ell bracket something I can make, or is it a bracket I can buy somewhere?
Thanks,Ron
Mine came with them, but I decided to make my own so that I could install custom flaps. Any flat metal will work from 1/16" to 1/8" thick and just weld on the ell yourself at any point.
I would check the laws in your area to see just how far down the flaps need to go, then "dry fit" your flaps to get the desired location.
Dry fit means - hold the flaps in place, then make a mark on the frame rail and across the inner fender so you'll know where to install the bracket.
have you looked at HUSKY lately? I bought the s/s series and they match the screwholes of the inner liner and have the stainless insert. VERY SHAP. I didnt care for the "molded" version but the S/S definetly eye catching.
OK guys I got them mounted....looks good.I noticed a truck at the dealership with flaps,so I went over to take a look.It was a older truck and the flaps seen some miles,so I mounted them the way he did.If anyone wants to see them, drop me a e-mail,I will send ya some pics.
Thanks Guys,Ron
Maybe I missed it, but what brand did you buy?? I installed Pro-Flaps on my 04 dually. Shoot me an e-mail and I will be happy to send you some pics and install instructions and some tips.
Thanks Chief...I got them on the truck.I dont recall right off hand what brand they are,but I will drop you a e-mail with that info.
Thanks,Ron

So how did you mount the s/s flaps? Mine had the bracket but they hung too close to the tire on my drw, almost rubbed. I put a bolt throught the flap and the rear of the wheel surround, which makes the flaps conform to the space but makes them hang just slightly short. Hard to explain, I will try to get a picture. Looks good and works fine, just wondering what others did.
CHIEFGREID, or anyone here, i bought proflaps for my dually and the
instruction are not clear. do you have pictures or info for install?
thanks, john. i dont have enough posts to e-mail you yet.
