Hi, everyone! A newbie here. I haven't posted here but i've read several hundred threads-yeah no life. I currently have a '90 bronco with a 351 W. Strong as hell but the sob won't start. I've replaced the starter, battery & alternator. It has plenty of juice in the battery but the starter won't engage. I let it set & it will start up, no problem, then it won't. what gives?! this is my baby as well as my daily driver, my girlfriend is getting tired of me driving her Stratus. Can anyone help me? any help would be appreciated.
i think there was a recall for the ignition module on that body style, so you might want to check into that. Easy way to find out is to try hot wiring it.
What bertha said. Turn the key to the ON postition without trying to crank it. Then jump the solenoid and it should turn over. If it does crank, replace the solenoid. On my 85 the solenoid was on the passenger side fender under the hood.
replaced the solenoid & it started. i didn't think that they went out that much. i've owned nothing but fords & have never replaced one before. I appreciate all your responses. now i need to figure out which lift kit to install. looking at a procomp 4" lift.
