2 questions:want to swap 351w out of my 88 f-250 & drop in efi 460.i have a c-6 in it.will the 460 bolt to my c-6?2:want to drop 302 efi in 94 ranger,throw away 3.0.will 5 speed out of f-150 fit under there with minimal cutting?

 

The F250's could be bought wiht a 460, so using factory parts you can make it fit no problem. Your C6 will have a SBF bell housing, which needs to be replaced with a BBF bellhousing. I don't recall if the C6 has a seperate bellhousing or if it's part of the tranny case, so someone else can chime in and clarify that for you.

The 302 will fit in the ranger, it's tight but it will fit. And the 3.0 has a different bell housing pattern than the 351W. The 3.0 has the FWD ford pattern, and the 351W has the SBF pattern.

 

The C6 is a one piece case, so it will have to be totally replaced with one from a 460 or 351m-400.
