i have a 01 super duty and i can t get any power to the wires for the brake controler, as i looked under the hood by the fuse box i see the wires are not hooked to anything . What gives????? everything under the dash wiring is fine just no power. please help
Did the truck come with the trailer towing package? If it did, it should be ready to go. You should at least have power up to under the dashboard, anyway. I'm not really sure when Ford started running all the wires for everyone at the fuse box.
Otherwise, you might be missing a fuse for the brake controller power. You need two fuses and two relays present to get the whole 7-pin connector at the back to work (provided you have the 7-pin RV-type connector at the back of the truck). I don't have the fuse locations off the top of my head. That would be in the owner's manual, though.
