Wheels

I have decided to get some new wheels for my 79 f150 4x4. The old rusted white rims need to be taken off. I have found a good deal. I have found eagle alloy series 058's for a good price plus free shipping. I think it is 359 total. I think they will look nice on the pickup. i have 31x10.50 hankook dynamic mt's. I was going to get 15x8 with 5 on 5.5 pattern. i think offset is -30mm. 8 in width would be what i want correct? What is the correct backspacing, 3 1/4? Anything else i need to know/consider when getting these wheels? im not sure of the specs i got them off of eagle alloy website, www.wheelsforless.com doesnt list all of it but it says they will fit my pickup(54-96 f 150 4x4) when searched for it. here is another rim which do you guys like better. http://www.wheelsforless.com/images/eagle/589.jpg or http://www.wheelsforless.com/images/eagle/102.jpg i am looking at the first one but the 2nd one i like it too. still leaning towards 1st. Probably not the most organized/well written post but hopefully i wont confuse anyone. thanks for any help/opinions.

I have 31x10.50 tires on 15x8 rims and am very happy with the size. A friend has 31x10.50 tires on 15x10 rims and it looks terrible. His rims look too wide and they make the tires look smaller than mine... 15x8 is what you want. I'm not sure of the back spacing of my rims. Of the two rims you show, I prefer the first with larger holes the other has too many holes for me...

I currently have 31's on 15X8 wheels as well. It looks ok. proportion is good. I am not a fan of big tires though and I am getting rid of mine next week.

I had 31x10.50 15 on 8 inch rims and 10 inch wheels also the 10 inch wheels give the tire a shorter fatter look. Looked tough on my 88 f 150 with no body lift. it is not recomended that a 31x10.50 be put on a 10 inch wheel. the tire dealer should be able to tell you that. I worked at a tire shop when mine were mounted and they have been on the truck for 6 years now. good luck
